For a little while now, the passenger side wiper wouldn’t always move, and when it did, not very far. This kind of problem can often happen in colder areas where the wiper blade freezes to the window and then the driver (me) tries to use them.
Where is the bow on my windshield wiper blade?
Unfortunately there is a bow upwards in the middle of the driver’s side where the blade doesn’t contact the windshield. If I give a slight bit of pressure on the metal part that holdes the wiper blade it will lay against the windshield but when I release my finger the bow comes back.

Same thing happened to my GL-550 (I know it’s not a sedan) during heavy snow and ice build up on the passenger side of the window. It was not a lot of ice, and only on the very side of the windshield – something a German car (have you seen the Alps in winter!) should easily handle.

If you replace the whole arm and it is still not working then this is likely not the isue. First take the arm off, turn the wiper on and see if the shaft at the wiper arm base is turning. If it isn;t then the problem is in the linkage to the motor. Your linkage in the cowl probably broke, happened to my Tacoma.
