Why does my front room floor feel like it is vibrating?
Why does my front room floor feel like it is vibrating?
The front room floor does feel like its vibrating but perhaps the noise I am hearing gives the suggestion of vibration (sounds like a bus engine idling in distance or the throb of engine when you are on a ferry but very low level). At night when all is quiet it’s horrendous as there are no other noises to mask it.
What causes a loud clicking noise during acceleration?
Noise: Banging or heavy clicking every two to three feet during acceleration and deceleration Cause: Damaged or broken pinion gear tooth or teeth Noise: Banging or heavy clicking every two to three feet during acceleration or deceleration, but not both
Can You pinpoint the area of strongest / loudest vibration?
This would be a last resort but ridges of ledge underground that the foundation may be poured on top of can transmit vibration from hundreds of feet away if the source, (heavy machinery, road traffic, etc.),is strong enough. Can you pinpoint the area of strongest / loudest vibration?
What causes a howling noise in the rear of a car?
Cause:Worn rear pinion bearing or worn gear set Noise:Howl without whir or rumble while accelerating at any speed (gears previously quiet) Cause:Worn gear set due to lack of lubrication or overloading Noise:Howling while accelerating over a small speed range (gears previously quiet) Cause:Worn gear set due to lack of lubrication or overloading
What makes a pulsating noise in a car?
I have a pulsating noise that sounds like tire noise but its difficult to tell whats making it. I get the noise when cruising around 40-55 mph, if I go any faster it dissipates. If I could compare it to anything its like the noise wind makes when you have a rear window down and the pressure difference makes that pulsing sound.

Where does the noise come from in a car?
I get the noise when cruising around 40-55 mph, if I go any faster it dissipates. If I could compare it to anything its like the noise wind makes when you have a rear window down and the pressure difference makes that pulsing sound. I can tell its definitely coming from the front wheels though and is much louder on smooth roads.
Why does my car make a crackling noise in the front?
If your car seems to bounce up and down in the front (in FWD vehicles), and you notice vibration and a crackling noise coming from that part, you may be dealing with a worn out or broken constant velocity joint (CV joint). The solution is usually to repair and fit the CV joints or replace the driveshaft entirely.
