Every time I start my 94 Siverado, for 15 to 20 seconds it makes a “thump, thump, thump…” sound from the front heater box, then it stops. Heater works fine otherwise. When I shut the truck down, the “thumping” cycle repeats, again, for 15 to 20 seconds.

I have the same clicking noise on a 2005 with a 5.3. The stethoscope tells me it is inside the oil pan near the back. It is directly related to RPM. It seems to only have been heard/felt when going over an elevation change or when the suspension was unloading. Ive also heard it when pulling slowly into the driveway. I’ve taken it to Chevy twice so far and described the noise coming from the front end. They stated that they checked the whole front end and everything is tight.
