Mine happened when the Cold Air Intake lower mounting bracket got in the way of the cable attached to the switch. The cable kept snagging and wouldn’t return to Park. I relocated the mounting brackit toa readily available bolt opening near the area. The ATX uses the transmission range switch as the neutral safety switch.

Why does my Jeep not start in Park?
So went down to get a burrito, everything fine. Came back out to start it, nothing. The jeeps shifter is in park but will roll forward and back so it must not be in park. Everything works as far as electrical and I’m not throwing codes.
