Sick ’em Scott! DO NOT do the engine break in with synthetic oil. After the break in if you choose to use synthetic it’s up to you. The 454HO is a roller cam, an oil with a higher ZDDP level certainly won’t hurt but it’s not as much of a concern with a roller cam.
