What is the problem with my Dodge Ram?
Not open for further replies. I have a 2004 dodge ram with a problem. While driving the oil pressure gauge drops suddenly and the check gauges light illuminates. If I pull over and turn the the truck off then back on, it’s fine. Sometimes it will keep doing it, sometimes it wont.

Next I pulled up the 1/16 inch on the connector and while I didn’t loose all the gages this time the oil temp and fuel gages dropped to zero! I found that the PCM wire bundle is putting pressure on this connecton against a poorly designed draw down bolt that caused the contacts to become disconnected.
