My Edge was in for a full day in the end. They told me there was a modification required from Ford to sort the sunroof. Haven’t had the problem since but had other. Adpative steering failure twice in one day. Not since. Engine management light came on, turned out it was the DPF sensor. Had to wait a month for a replacement part and the light on.
Why is the sunroof on my XLT not closing?
I have the XLT model with sunroof/moon-roof combo. the sunshade will only close in the back moon-roof portion but refuses to close over the front sunroof portion. i have tried to look for the fuse for this but the manual is no help.
How can I get my sunroof to open and close?
Push and hold the TILT switch until full glass open and closed is witnessed (this could take up to 20 seconds to start). Release the switch and verify successful initialization by carrying out one-touch open, one-touch close and one-touch vent operations.

What to do if your sunroof won’t close?
Sunroof started to slow down to such a degree I as concerned it wouldn’t close. Took it to dealer from whom I purchase it. After checking it and cleaning the runners they said they couldn’t find a fault so couldn’t/wouldn’t change any parts.
