These aftermarket floor pans did not have a hole drilled to mount the clip. If this is the case on your Mustang simply drill a 5/16″ hole where you would like to mount the clip.

How does the fuel line work on a 1969 Mustang?
The clips wrap around the line.. Then the tab is fed through a hole in the transmission tunnel. Once in the hole, the tabs on the front of the clip can be squeezed with pliers. This causes the back tabs to expand and secure the clips in the hole. Here is a picture of the tab being squeezed to secure the clip.
