Truck motors started using roller cams in smallblocks in 1996. All of the blocks 87 and up should have provisions for roller cams and would require a small amount of work to be able to run a roller. I have no Idea about big blocks though. Truck engines didn’t get roller cams that early.

Enginetech ES336 is the cheapest I have found and I have a customer using one in a Camaro TBI 305 with exhaust and air filter upgrades and making 225hp at flywheel. 178 rear wheel horsepower.
