Since researching, this is a very common problem with the 2.4 L eco engine, same as Chevy equinox. Engine is being repaired, may need replacement. Very upsetting owning vehicle under a year, and under 100,000 miles.

My vue was eventually totalled, and I purchased a 2013 Chevrolet Captiva. Purchased used. My Vue, no major problems, just routine maintenance, brakes, and a CV boot replacement. My 2013 Captiva looks cute, but is a total nightmare. I’ve never spent this much $$$ on car repairs EVER!
