What’s the difference between a 10 and 15 cricket loom?

At 5.5″ wider than the 10″ Cricket, the 15″ Cricket is still compact enough to take with you easily. The 15″ weaving width offers more flexibility in your choice of weaving projects. Uses the same reeds as the 15″ Flip folding rigid heddle loom.

What happens when you move the heddle on a cricket loom?

When the heddle is moved from the neutral position to down or up positions, it creates a shed, or opening, where the weft can pass through. This makes weaving much quicker than picking each yarn up by hand as you would do with a frame loom. See below. Down, up, and neutral sheds are created by moving the heddle to different positions.

Do You need A Phillips screwdriver for a cricket loom?

Assembly is required, although it is mostly straightforward. You’ll need a screwdriver. Also a Phillips screwdriver. I recommend attaching but not fully tightening all of the screws, and then tightening all screws at once when assembly is complete. My unit was mostly nicely made.
