Turn on ign, on set TPS for 0.5 volts to itself and not to ground. One of the wires is sensor return (good place for one meter lead), one is 5 volt reference voltage from the ECM, and the third is the wiper, (good place for meter lead). Turn off ign.

I recently bought a 85 IROC with the 305 TPI. This car hadn’t ran in 3 years so after the nomal repairs it fired right up and ran fine. Fuel Pressure was holding steady at about 40 p.s.i. Fast forward a few days and I tried to start it again and no fuel pressure.
