What should the ICP be on a Ford PowerStroke?
What should the ICP be on a Ford PowerStroke?
Without a scan tool to monitor PID data, there really is no way of “testing” it. ICP volts SHOULD read 0.18 to 0.25 volts at key-on/engine-off, and rise to a MINIMUM of 0.8 volts (or 500 psi) to enable the injectors to fire.
Where is the speed sensor on a Ford PowerStroke?
There are three speed sensors on an ’06, one on the rear diff, and one on each front hub. VSS Ford pt# is F85Z-2L373-AB. Refer to pinpoint test G, (Inaccurate Speedometer Indication) section in the workshop manuals.
Where is the ICP sensor on a HPOP?
It has 2 big lines coming off it, one to each head. On the rear of the HPOP, down low in the valley, is the IPR. It will have a 3/4″ stamped steel nut on the back, a spacer, and then the IPR coil with a 2 wire connector. It is only a few inches away from the ICP sensor.
Is the ICP sensor on my new guy working?
I unplugged the ICP sensor and went around the block. Now it’s running worse than when the sensor was plugged in. It took a mile or two before it acted up, but it never would clear up and run right. I had to limp it back into the driveway.

What does ICP actual mean on a car?
ICP actual is the ACTUAL pressure being reported from the ICP sensor back to the vehicle ECM. ICP desired, however, is merely the DESIRED pressure from the ECM. If ICP actual does not exceed (approx.) 450-500psi, then there is almost zero chance of the engine starting.
What kind of ICP sensor do I Need?

We bought this for my fathers 04 Ford F350 6.0 Powerstroke. His truck had been what I would describe as stuttering or bogging out.
What does 150 psi mean on an ICP pump?
Could it actually be 150 psi? When the IPR is at 85% that means that the ICP is low and the pump is running as hard as it can to build pressure. What is the ICP Voltage while cranking?
What causes a no start ICP-IPR 6.0?
I’m pretty sure that 170 is too slow for the FICM to fire injectors. 85% on the IPR is maxed out and not a good sign, but if you actually have 1500psi then HPO is not causing a no start. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong but I thing the PCM needs to see closer to 500rpms to fire the FICM.
How old is the ICP on my truck?
ICP is 3 months old with repaired wiring. I notice when the problem happens most often is after a long day of hauling, the engine is hot, and i shut the truck down for a short period of time then restart. Heat seems to be the trigger. Doesn’t always happen, but there is a better chance. Happens in gear or in park.
