What should ICP pressure be on 2005 F350?
What should ICP pressure be on 2005 F350?
ICP pressure should reach 500 psi (3.5 MPa) within five (5) seconds of cranking engine. Normal crank time is 3-5 seconds. Normal start response for ICP, IPR Duty Cycle and Engine Speed – Operation shown. (Figure 1) Hard start response for ICP, IPR Duty Cycle and Engine Speed – Operation shown. (Figure 2)
What does 150 psi mean on an ICP pump?
Could it actually be 150 psi? When the IPR is at 85% that means that the ICP is low and the pump is running as hard as it can to build pressure. What is the ICP Voltage while cranking?
What causes a no start ICP-IPR 6.0?
I’m pretty sure that 170 is too slow for the FICM to fire injectors. 85% on the IPR is maxed out and not a good sign, but if you actually have 1500psi then HPO is not causing a no start. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong but I thing the PCM needs to see closer to 500rpms to fire the FICM.
What are the symptoms of a bad injector control pressure sensor?
Cost of Replacing a Bad or Failing Injector Control Pressure Sensor. Common signs include starting issues, engine misfires, the Check Engine Light coming on, and a decrease in power, acceleration, and fuel economy. Our certified technicians can come to you and diagnose the problem.
What is the ICP pressure on a 03 6.0?
Guys i really need some help here I have a 03 6.0 that will not crank I hooked my genisis scanner to it and was checking the icp pressure and it was only 350 to 400. I was told that was not enough to crank.
What’s the ICP pressure on a Ford PowerStroke?
Died numerous times, rough idle and naturally no power. Fuel pressure is between 55-61, IPR is 25-30, ICP Voltage is .9-1.2 from idle to 1500 and at 2500 RPM I can’t get the ICP Pressure above 1300 PSI. Did they put a seal in wrong when they replaced the injectors or did the HPOP choose right now to fail.
What to do if your ICP is low on a 03?
PCM must see over 500PSI before it will even try to start the engine. You are supposed to be able to unplug the ICP and computer should go to a default setting and start up. 03’s are known for their high failure rate on the ICP. is there any way to check hpop or ipr to see where my problem is?
What should I do if my engine is low on ICP?
Thanks for the help PCM must see over 500PSI before it will even try to start the engine. You are supposed to be able to unplug the ICP and computer should go to a default setting and start up. 03’s are known for their high failure rate on the ICP.
How to check high pressure pump on 2005 F350?
Apply shop air at 100 psi (689 kPa) maximum to the high-pressure oil pump. Using IDS, command IPR open for two (2) minutes to clear the oil from the high pressure oil system. Using IDS close the IPR valve by increasing the IPR duty cycle.
What should AC low side high side low pressure be?
On the other hand, there is possibly a huge leak when the pressure is zero. AC Low Side High, High Side Low: Why Does This Happen? The pressure reading from the low side should be between 25 and 30 psi and the high side between 200 and 250 psi.
What should the PSI be on an A / C system?
An A/C System that is working properly should have 150 PSI on the high side and 30 PSI on the low side.
What is low side pressure on Ford PowerStroke?
Put some freon in it today. New compressor was installed last year and runs like it should. @ idle with outside temps around 100 degrees and the air wide open, the low side pressure is @ 30 psi according to the cheapo can gauge. The air coming out of the vents is cool but not cold like it used to be.
On the other hand, there is possibly a huge leak when the pressure is zero. AC Low Side High, High Side Low: Why Does This Happen? The pressure reading from the low side should be between 25 and 30 psi and the high side between 200 and 250 psi.
What should the AC pressure be when the engine is on?
When the engine is on When the engine is on and the AC is on high, low pressure readings should be around 30 psi and the high pressure side should be about 250 psi depending on your car. The correct reading will display once the clutch engages and the gauge stops cycling.
What does 250 psi tell me about my a / C system?
250 PSI / 50 PSI = The system is overcharged and the condenser is not cooling. Condenser may be blocked. 225 PSI / 80 PSI = It is likely that the expansion valve is opened too wide (not the case if your A/C system has an orifice tube) Also, you could have too much refrigerant in the system.

What should air pressure be for ICP test?
NOTE: THE AIR PRESSURE APPLIED FOR THIS TEST MUST BE 100 PSI (689 kPa). WHEN AIR PRESSURE IS APPLIED FOR THE FIRST TIME, IT MAY TAKE 3 TO 5 MINUTES BEFORE THE LEAK CAN BE HEARD. THIS ALLOWS THE AIR PRESSURE TO DISPLACE THE ENGINE OIL IN THE ICP SYSTEM.
Is the ICP sensor on my new guy working?
I unplugged the ICP sensor and went around the block. Now it’s running worse than when the sensor was plugged in. It took a mile or two before it acted up, but it never would clear up and run right. I had to limp it back into the driveway.

What to do if your ICP pressure is low?
As stated, unplug the icp and try to start the engine. if it starts, replace the icp sensor. you need a scan tool you can watch the IPR duty cycle and the ICP pressure If you have a 78% duty cycle and only 300 psi ICP then you know the pcm is asking for it but not getting it so either there is a leek or the IPR is stuck in the open posistion.
Why does my Ford PowerStroke have no start?
If not, it could be a bad oil pump (LPOP), a oil filter drain valve stuck open, or a bad oil pressure regulator. You should register oil pressure on the dash gauge in a long crank/ no start condition when the complete oil system is known to be sealed.
Why does my 2005 Excursion have low oil pressure?
Some 2005-2007 F-Super Duty, 2005-2008 E-Series and 2005 Excursion vehicles equipped with a 6.0L diesel engine may exhibit a hard start / long crank or no start condition due to low injection control pressure (ICP). Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
