Always ask the person that is hooking a scan tool up to your computer, to check your CVI…! the Clutch Volume Index runs from the 70’s on upward as they wear… if One gear is bad… the Volume Index will shoot right up near 100 or so… anyway… he replaced the tranni with one that he re-built… old… JB welded trans pan… Guess what….

What’s the best way to fix a Chrysler transmission?
From a standing position accelerate the car to 45-55 mph so the transmission shifts through all 4 gears. Do this 10-15 times. While driving 30 mph do 5-10 wide throttle kick downs. In other words floor the gas pedal so the transmission downshifts, after you hear the revving let go of the gas pedal (remember do this at least 5 times).
