What makes a thumping noise at the rear of the car?

The rhythmic thumping is apparent at low speeds and increases with speed. Fairly loud. I think I have isolated it to the rear driver side wheel well. I was thinking maybe it could be the hub/bearings, and I have started hearing a squeak from the rear passenger side wheel, but not the rear driver side.

Why do I keep hearing a thumping noise in my house?

Look at the sliding doors (if there are any) and objects stored outside that might rock against the house such as a gas grill, loose siding or aluminum trim, a light fixture, an old aluminum awning, or a loose shutter. Also consider that what you’re hearing may not be something loose but a corner that catches the wind.

Why do I have a thumping sound in my ear?

The carotid artery is large and can sometimes produce a pounding or heartbeat sound in your ears, particularly after exercise or exerting yourself. It is common to have tinnitus (or noises in the ear) on one side instead of both ears.

What can I do about thumping sound in my head?

CT scans, an MRI, CTA scans, an MRA and angiography scans can be used to get a clear picture of the blood vessels in the head to ensure that no underlying conditions are causing a change in the blood flow, leading to the thumping noise you have been hearing.

Where does the thumping sound come from in my Murano?

I have started hearing faint thumping noise in my Murano, coming from the front most likely. It sounds as if I have a bold spot on a tire and is very faint. I can also feel it faintly through the steering wheel. It’s not a ticking or hard knocking noise.

Why does my steering wheel make a humming noise?

Turn the steering wheel slightly to the left or right. If the noise gets worse, then it’s likely one of the wheel bearings. If the wheel bearing and tires look good, you may want to check the drivetrain. Sometimes a humming or growling noise is a sign of an issue within the drivetrain.

Why are my wheel bearings making a noise?

It can also be caused by improper alignment both front and on some cars, rear alignment. If the tires seem alright, then check the hub bearings or rear wheel bearings. Some vehicles have sealed hub bearings on all wheels, others may have tapered wheel bearings on the rear and hub bearings on the front.
