What kind of trans fluid does a 1970 Dodge Coronet use?
I have a 1970 Dodge Coronet R/T. This is my first Mopar. I have many questions, and have already got good answers to previous posted questions. The R/T has the 727 automatic transmission and I don’t know the best transmission fluid to use. The AQ-ATF-2848A fluid that my 1970 Dodge Coronet Service Manual recommends is no longer available.
Is there a ” stop ” on a 727 Trans shifting?
“Use the throttle control rod spring to hold the transmission throttle valve control lever forward against the stop.” I think that instruction is kind of misleading. There is no real “stop”. The only solid forward stop is the full pressure position, which translates to wide open throttle.

When did the 360 come with a 904 transmission?
Click to expand… 1970 did not have a 360 as they first started appearing in trucks in 1971 and slowly transitioned to cars and trucks in 72+. most 360’s did not come with a 904 transmission as the 727 was the opted factory choice (not sure any 360’s came with a 904 as a combo, but never say never with ma mopar).
