What’s the problem with my Chevy Silverado heater?

Fan is working, and some cool air seems to be sneaking thru, but it appears the vent actuators are not working. Have not been able to remedy the problem yet. My 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 is in good shape, minus the driver’s side vents. Hot air continuously blows out of the vents, even with the AC off. I bought an BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR to replace the one that controls this function, however even the new actuator will not function when the wires are connected.
