What is normal transmission temp on Ford F150?

This transmission likes it warm. Just driving around town, not towing, it is 190-200 degrees. 200-230 is probably normal range.

What is the code for the temperature gauge on a Ford F-150?

It is not hot. I cycle the key and it runs and the gauge is in the normal range and runs there for twenty min. Ichecked with an o. B. D. Reader the code is p1299. Says temp sensor.

What’s the coolant temp on a 1996 F-150?

On my 1996 F-150 with the 4.9 L (300 CID) inline 6, for some time now, the engine barely reaches the normal coolant temperature as read on the gauge. Historically, it would climb until it was in a nice healthy spot in the middle of the gauge indicated normal range.

Where is the temp sender on my 92 F150 4.9?

You’ll have to physically determine which one is wired up to the gauge cluster and go from there. On my 92 F150 4.9 the computer temp sender is near the thermostat housing. The temp sender for the temp gauge is under the manifolds near the firewall. The computer temp sender is 2 a wire connector. The temp gauge sender is one wire.temp connector.

What does p1299 mean on a Ford F-150?

The engine is not over heating you can open rad cap at this time no boil over cycle key temp goes back to normal for ten to fifteen then it does it again p1299 is the code that comes up. Changed temp sensor no change Problems with a F-150?

When driving the temp gauge will run inthe normal…, range for about20 minutes then it will spike into the red. Check gauge shows up on the dash. Stop and cycle the key and every thing is good. Used o. B. D. Reader. P1299 is the code that comes up. I changed the temp sensor no change. The engine is not hot I can remove the cap on the coolant jug

Why are the gauges on my Ford F-150 not working?

Gauges on my 2007 Ford F-150 have quit working. Have checked fuses but cant find one that is bad. And the vacuum switch is not working unless I remove the other vacuum over. So it’s gotta be a relay or something??? No crank turn key starter dozen not engage.
