The fuel sedimenter separates the water from the diesel fuel. It uses the specific gravity difference between the diesel fuel and water to separate the water before the fuel enters the injection pump. The sliding portion inside the injection pump is lubricated by the fuel.

I tried 1 more time, got the light to go out, started the truck, let it sit idling for about 10 mins, no light. Drove the truck and again the light came on in 1 mile.
