Is the Specialized Enduro any good?
The year blew in an unsurmountable pile of oddness and uncertainty, and fortunately a band of great bikes. The Specialized Enduro rides somewhere near the peak of my review list for 2020, with its familiar ride character on the trail, easy setup, and mistake-saving 170mm of balanced travel.
Can Specialized Enduro climb?
First Ride: 2020 Specialized Enduro can climb, but it’s really all about that descent. Fitted with a 170mm single crown fork and a matching 170mm of travel out back, the new Specialized Enduro is certainly tailored towards descending.

At 14.7kg (32.4lb) with our Maxxis control tyres fitted, it’s not hurting the bike on scales though. Specialized ditched its in-house dropper post program recently, so the Elite build gets an X-Fusion Manic that works really well, but seatpost insertion with the pierced frame design is limited.

We tested the Enduro Expert last year and hated the RockShox Lyrik 2-Step fork. For 2011, the alloy version gets the Fox fork it deserves to let the excellent, sweet-handling frame shine. It’s serious drops, rocks and control where the burly Specialized comes into its own.
