Is the Ram 3500 SRW a Cummins truck?
Is the Ram 3500 SRW a Cummins truck?
Part of the problem with the 2500s when loaded is that the suspension components are to far inward of the truck That lends to sway problems, you can upgrade the parts all you want, but without redesigning it you won’t fix the inherent problem. IMO Ram made the 2500s for people that wanted a cummins, but also wanted a soft ride.
What’s the difference between a Ram 3500 SRW and DRW?
But then my trailer axles are overloaded. Moving into a 3500 SRW the towing chart shows standard output payload as 4490 for a tradesman. Assuming this approximately 4,000 lbs with options. DRW increases by 1,360 lbs, but reduces towing capacity due to the heavier truck.
How big is the payload on a Ram 3500?
Made a big difference over stock tires even with the travel trailer. Fyi, my 2020 limited megacab 3500 with the rear air level has a payload 3899 lb rating on the door sticker. I would expect any of the lower trim levels and/or smaller cab combinations should have a larger payload number due to reduced truck weight.
