According to Mark (VortecPro), the last year or so of the 14015445 block was the same as they used in the 1990 454SS trucks and it’s a thick block, one of the ones he prefers. I hope I’m quoting that right, it’s from my old memory.

The casting number won’t tell you much, as we were told above, by David. The engine ID number or the VIN would tell us more. Guys it has these numbers on the stamp pad. CBZ140873

What can you tell me about block 14015445?
My big block is a #140154445, a truck block from 78-90 (?) On the back of the casting I looked for a date, and found “0 2 blob 3”. The blob is garbled metal not a paint run, like there was nothing in that space.
