How to reset Trans fault, EGS codes?
Actually at first the Cruise Control Warning light pops up for a few secs, then Trans Fault Appears along with Service Engine Soon Light. I’m able to pull over, reset the codes using my generic scan tool. Restart the car and it drives fine for the rest of the day. This exact same event occurs anytime the car is left off for over and hour or two.
Why is there an error code on my transmission?
This code could indicate corrosion or other problems in the transmission range sensor. Your automatic transmission uses input and output speed sensors to determine whether your transmission is in the gear that the transmission control module (TCM) wants it to be in.
What to do if your car has a trans fault?
Once the engine has been running for a while and you reset the codes it runs without fault. Try disconnecting the battery and fully charging it overnight then in the morning re-connect and start the car if there are no issues it will be a strong indication of what the issue is.

CV (constant-velocity) axles, (also known as half-shafts), are used in front-wheel drive vehicles to transfer the engines power from the transaxle to the two drive wheels. When working on or around any vehicle injuries can and do occur.
