Then remove the clutch fan and fan shroud together at one time. Remove the lower radiator hose from the water pump housing.

Is it easier to remove radiator clutch or fan clutch?
As you have observed with last years posts in this thread the fan clutch can be a bit tricky to get out because that monster nut is left handed and it has been self tightening for many years. In my experience the radiator removal method takes less time and it is a lot easier to to get thing setup right.

I got mine on ebay for pretty cheap 7.3 446 POWERSTROKE DIESEL WATER PUMP 97-03 F250 F350: eBay Motors (item 220634514781 end time Aug-07-10 14:44:55 PDT). Search for a post from NCHornet regarding the flush process. No need to get a “flush kit” from anywhere.
