How to remove a vacuum line from a crankcase?
How to remove a vacuum line from a crankcase?
JUST ONE MORE STEP LEFT !! Using the factory crankcase breather (T-fitting) run a piece of heater/vacuum hose down to the crank breather and T it with the valve cover and then run it down to the bottom of the car, so it can dump below and out of sight!
What should I replace my vacuum line with?
Replacing the crap rubber factory vacuum lines with more crap vacuum lines What you can usually find locally for vacuum line is terrible. The rubber gets old fast and cracks, as well as not keeping a solid conneciton and slipping off. We suggest upgrading from a brittle rubber to silicon vacuum lines:s
Where is the vacuum line for the diverter valve?
At this point go ahead and attach the vacuum line for the diverter valve (it is the line that was initially attached to the N-249 valve) and plug it directly into the manifold, ( at the port right next to the first intake runner)…no pics. Now you can gain access to all the vacuum lines and check valves!
Can a vacuum pump be connected to a valve cover?
The pump can be either electric or mechanically driven, but for an ideal solution should be connected to both the block and the valve cover to pull vacuum from both areas efficiently. One must be cautious to select the proper size pump so that you are pulling the right amount of vacuum.

How to reconnect vacuum line behind intake manifold?
To reconnect the hose, you will either have to remove the intake or get the truck in the air on a vehicle lift and reach up on the drivers side of the transmission to reconnect it. Also, can you give me the VIN#. Ford did have a recall on this vacuum hose for this very problem.
Can a valve cover be tightened to stop a leak?
In some rare cases, the valve cover can be tightened to stop the leak, but typically, once the leak occurs, it is too late and the gasket must be replaced. Fixing a small leak before it becomes large can also help you to diagnose other leaks in the future as it prevents excessive oil from building up on the engine.
