How to input CD code on Ford CD 6000?
Bought a CD6000 CD player off EBAY to replace tape player in our transit. Swapped over no problem, but can’t input the code as described in the manual. Display is showing ‘CODE’ and the other part where the digits (.. .. .. ..) should show after pressing the numeric button on the front is flashing. No locked message on display.

Alternatively, you can try pressing Buttons 1 and 6 (or 2 and 5) togther and then turn the radio on. This will give you a stream of numbers, including the radio SN. If it’s a 2008 car then I think, chances are, it’s going to be a “V” SN, anyway, but you might be lucky. Thanks for info, but have tried pressing buttons as described with no success.

What kind of CD can a Ford Focus Play?
Only one that will play them properly and reliably is the 6000MP3 as fitted to the Focus MP3 I’ve just bought a new 58 plate Focus. It plays regular CD’s ok but won’t play MP3 CD’s. I’ve tried different makes of discs and different recording formats without success. I’m waiting until the New Year to refer it to the dealer.
