The cost of selling image rights should depend on your level of work, labor, resources, photography experience, marketing, and terms of use. In general, you can get anywhere between $20 to $50. However, you can ask for more, even thousands of dollars, if you want a complete copyright buyout.

How do I price my photography?

To cover your overhead costs in your pricing structure, add up your expenses for the year. Take that total number and divide it by the projected amount of jobs you’ll work in a year. Add that percentage of the total cost to a photography job, and you’ll start covering your total overhead, bit by bit.
