How long does it take to get through Shark Reef?
The only way you could kill an hour at the Shark Reef is if you count the long hike to and from the tram at the front of the Mandalay Bay Resort. It is a good attraction, with crocodiles, sea turtles, rays and sharks, but we found about 30 minutes was plenty of time to see everything.

Is the Shark Reef worth it?
No,it is not worth it IMHO. If you have been to any decent aquarium before- this can be a disappointment-at least it was for me. It is small for the price you pay and I didn’t see all that many WOW fish.

Can you walk from Mandalay Bay?
Yes you can. By my measurements, the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign is approximately 8/10th of a mile from the entrance to Mandalay Bay. Walking at a normal pace will get you there in roughly 15 to 20 minutes. The exact location of the Welcome to Las Vegas sign marks the start of the Las Vegas Strip.
