59 people found this helpful. It could definitely be the battery, these trucks need 12.5-13 volts to idle properly…. the starter doesn’t require nearly a much voltage. I’ve seen it happen hundreds of times on Rams, Dakotas and Durangos. Not trying to argue with you but it’s an extremely common issue 95 people found this helpful.
