How do you start a Ford XH Ute?
Turn the ignition to the “on” position for 30mins. During this time the smartlock light will flash fast, when it goes out you can start the car. You will also have to teach the BEM your remote keypads if you have any. Let me know if you need to know how to do this (can be tricky if you don’t have a rear demister as not all utes had them).
What’s the problem with my Ford Falcon hot start?
My problem is when the car is warm and has been left for about 15min (like going into the shop) when i go to start the car again it cranks over for a couple seconds and wont start try again and after another couple seconds it will start.
Why is my XH Ute not starting properly?
Have had a lot of smartlock problems coming into the workshop lately. With the ignition key held in the crank position, smack the dash below the handbrake lever ( I think XH’s still have the umbrella type) and if it cranks you have a smartlock module problem.

What to do if your XH Ute wont start?
He replaced filter, checked and replaced fuel pump relay and even gave it a sniff of aerostart but it still wouldnt go. It is getting fuel pressure at the fuel rail. So he asked me to have a look. I removed all the plugs, dried them off and refitted. I checked battery terminals and connections and cleaned them up.

I have a problem with my XH Longreach , outback ute. Every so often it wont start. That is, the starter motor won’t turn over It’s a 5 speed manual. Feels like trying to start an auto in drive. Usually if I wait a couple of minutes it starts. Doesn’t seem to matter if it’s hot or cold
Can a Hardley engine start in the morning?
However in the morning or when the engine is cold it will start perfect hardley cranks over and starts and runs fine. the problem is only when it is warm.
