How do you put a 2006 TrailBlazer in 4 wheel drive?
Put the transmission in Neutral. Turn the switch next to the stereo to AWD, 4HI or 4LO. Some TB’s have different designations on the switch, what I listed above is one. The other will say AWD, 4 with an up arrow, and 4 with a down arrow for 4 low.

As was stated earlier in the thread, I don’t think it’s parts, I think it’s the switch tnpartsguy spoke of, since the light on the switch was off when the notice light was on, and vice versa.
