Well you need to remove engine oil pan and remove oil pump pickup. What I usually do is I stick the pickup in to a hot water mixed with degreaser. Let it boil and leave it in there for about 1 hour. After an hour take it out clean it with brake cleaner or carb cleaner very good and stick it back in there for 10 more minutes, that should do it.
