I have a Ford 6000cd unit without navigation. There are options to turn the bluetooth on and off on the deck but cannot get it to bond to my mobile phone. Had exactly the same problem when trying to connect a new android 6.0 mobile (previous phone worked fine on Bluetooth).
Why is there no Bluetooth on my Mondeo?
Just had same problem on new Mondeo. Phone buttons just mute and unmute the radio no bluetooth at all. Fuse box layout must have been changed as audio fuse is now in the engine bay fuse box F43. Disconnect for 3 mins and bluetooth came back. Radio did not ask for security code, but had to rebond phone to audio system.

It will then search for bluetooth connections. It should find ‘Ford Audio’ pretty quickly. Select ‘Ford Audio’ on your phone and it will say that a pairing code is needed. Look at your radio and it it should now be displaying a 4 digit code. Enter the code into the phone and enter. Should bond. unfortunatly i buckle at the first hurdle..

Where is the Earth in a Ford 6000cd stereo?
There is a nut at the back of the head unit compartment which holds the earth for the stereo – you can undo this a small amount and then insert the black earth wire for the headunit behind it, then tighten it, ensuring the wire does not become loose and is held tight.
