How can I tell if my Chevy Cobalt has a 2005 Motor?

If there is no signal then check the crank sensor again and its connector. now with this being a 2006 year model, it should have crank and cam position sensors. It only has the crank position sensor. I am thinking that chevy put in a 2005 motor as the 2005 only ca if i am looking at changills out the crank position sensor, not both.

Chevrolet Cobalt LS: I have a 2006 cobalt with 2.2 it cranks… I have a 2006 cobalt… I have a 2006 cobalt with 2.2 it cranks but wont start. I have 60 psi fuel pressure. Drops to 55 when cranking. I have code for misfire cyl 2. Changed plugs, coil pack, ignition control module as car has 270k so changing seemed good idea. any sugestions?

If the module is good and if you have power at the pink wire then there is a computer issue. If you are seeing an RPM signal then it should be firing.
