Can you put a fuse in an empty fuse slot?

Can you put a fuse in an empty fuse slot?

Yes, you can use them, but make sure that you put the original non existent fuse in the bottom, don’t put a 10A or something in since you don’t know what it might power, probably nothing but it may be something that shouldn’t be powered.

Where is the fuse box on a Dodge Ram?

The fuse panel is located behind the cover on the driver’s side of the instrument panel. The fuse box is near the battery.

Is the trailer plug constant a separate fuse?

But yes trailer 12v is a separate fuse The trailer connector fuses are all sitting in the fuse panel in a group… that’s the best I can share….

Why is the 12v plug constant not working?

Maybe The tipm disabled the 12volt constant because maybe my trailer back fed power the the 7 pin. I will check all the fuses with a test lamp, tomorrow and if not maybe try and get the dealer to reset the tipm.

Is there a aux plug for a 12V diesel?

There is nothing that says aux just 12v ign misc. and that’s good too That should be the one. I would check the wiring before the 7 pin. Possibly have a bad wire. May have a bent contact and the trailer connector isnt contacting as well. Wouldnt be too bad to run a thicker gauge wire from the fuse block to the trailer connector.

Why is there no power to several fuses?

Last edited by Machster69 on Aug 13 2012, 6:29pm, edited 1 time in total. Check the feed wire to the fuse box. It could be corroded inside the insulation. Seems like about half of the fuses dont work- wonder if it has two seperate feeds going thru the firewall?

Where are the fuses on a 1998 Chevy 1500?

1998 Chevy 1500 5.7L 4×4. No power from about half of the fuses located on the side of the drivers-side dash. No blown fuses. I pulled the main fuse panel under the hood (thinking that it feeds the smaller panel on the dash), checked for power- all are good.

Where are the fuses on a silveradosierra?

No power from about half of the fuses located on the side of the drivers-side dash. No blown fuses. I pulled the main fuse panel under the hood (thinking that it feeds the smaller panel on the dash), checked for power- all are good. Cleaned and reattached the main battery ground with no effect.

How can I tell if my fuses are still working?

The #12 fuse location is central to the circuit, so finding out if power is present there will tell us which way to go. Here are the other circuits the fuse feeds… just in case one or two may still operate. Check a few of these other systems to see if they operate or if it’s isolated to the radio and dome lamps.
