The switch is not the problem. If the switch was the problem when you removed the switch the hazards would stop. If you try disconnecting the control unit as per the instructions mentioned previously, and it still has a problem, then the problem is within the unit itself. Dont think your sounder for your alarm is working, so if you look under your bonnet, near to where the bonnet catch is, you will see a push button switch. Hi yeah managed to get switch out and disconnected and they still flash. Was going to take fuse box out and look for a relay but don’t know if I’m going down the right route.

For info I have just resolved the alarm/hazard problem in my 2008 Mégane cabriolet by disconnecting the alarm. Found in the boot. Right hand side. Follow the siren cable back towards the wheel arch and disconnect the block connector. If hazards still flashing press hazard button in car. Thanks also to Martin at SMC motor group weybridge.

Why are the hazard lights flashing on my Megane?
The hazard lights on my 2007 megane have started flashing and I really need help. I’ve searched Google for an answer but no luck as yet. When I start the car via the key card the hazard lights come on immediately and keep flashing. Sometimes pushing the hazard switch will turn it off and then sometimes it does nothing.

Why are my hazard lights randomly coming on?
The hazard lights on my car are randomly coming on. They came on once whilst I was out there, about 30 seconds or so after I’d locked it (double locked with the imobiliser). I’ve been out and it was all locked up, couldn’t see any sign of somebody tampering with it, but the remote central locking is working intermittently.
