Which is better GT40P or B cam heads?
The GT40p heads have the larger intake valve plus smaller 58cc combustion chambers which helps low end torque…and coupled with the larger ports will also breath on the big end. The B cam will be about the same as installing the 1.7 rockers on the stock cam.

I’ve got GT40 heads on my ’85 and love ’em. GT40p heads are usually worth about 30hp more than a stock E7 head. A good aluminum head (AFR 165 or TFS TW 170) is worth close to 90hp more than a E7 head on a similarly prepaired 5.0 engine.

The B303 and stock cam are not close. At all. Not even a lil’ bit. Like not even remotely close. Personally I really like the B303 for the right setup and usage, but it needs 1.7 rockers. I also have much respect for the stock cam. It can do great things in the right setup and it too benefits from 1.7 rockers.
