Why are the rear and side lights not working?
Not sure about an ECU. The fog light works but no number plate, rear or side lights and the reverse light doesn’t work either. The brake lights, indicators and main beam lights all work though as does the interior boot light. Sorry didn’t make it clear, by bulb I mean at the light, not the switch end.

Looked at fuse/relay diagram but appears there isnt a seperate fuse for rear lights. Fuses are fine. I have removed the dash and reconnected the main connector and white connector to the light switch but nothing. Any ideas what might be the cause? Just been told both my back lights are not illuminating. Brake lights still working.

It may also be a short in the switch but that is not as likely. The retained power relay may be failing or the control module itself may be failing. I typically access the module and see if it will stop supplying power when it times out. If it does not, then the module is bad.

My silverado blew the fuse for the trailer running lights in this under hood fuse block. The truck’s running lights will work, but the trailer won’t if the fuse is blown.

Since all the truck lights work, it almost has to be between the truck tail light (s) and the plug, or the plug connection inside… Not that difficult really, either the plug has juice, or it doesn’t….. I doubt the problem is on the trailer because he says it is on every trailer he hooks to. It has to be the truck.
