Is it necessary to fuse power supply fuses?

If a device or its wiring develops a short, the supply will route up to 5 amps into that short. This could cause more damage. The additional fuse limits this current to say 0.75 amps in order to protect the devices and wiring on the secondary side. It is not required, but it is a best practice. – Glenn W9IQ Jul 7 ’17 at 12:15

Where is the fuse on an electric fan relay?

The orange wire on the relay should see a 12 volt signal when the ignition switch is turned on. The other two wires on the relay are the meat and potatoes of the system, with the yellow wire connecting to the battery along with the supplied fuse mounted within 12 inches of the battery.
