If you could get a voltage at the relay on the coil side of the relay, it would tell the story. Of course you need to disconnect battery cables at both ends clean, and tighten, Same for grounds remove, clean tighten. Sure sounds like a vibration issue more than a heat issue.
Where does the power go on a Harley Davidson?
One on the back of the coil. and also the plug that goes to my fuel pump. I have checked the fuse for the fuel pump. 15 amp. seems good . I put another one in anyway. I also put in a new system relay in .. Still no power seems to go to either one of those plugs. on the bike.

Why does my fuel pump whine when I Turn on the engine?
I turn the ignition and hear the pump whine. Hit the start button and it fires up. Ride it just a block or so and it dies. (engine dies but all lights etc are still on) When I switch the button to run I hear the fuel pump relay chatter and the fuel pump itself tries to whine, but never completes the full “whine cycle”.

If battery static volts measure 11.6v or less with the ignition on the ECM won’t energize the system. am not getting any voltage at the 15 amp fuse at key on, also have battery charger on while testing. engine cranks at good speed. are there more powers and grounds at the battery then just the main positive and negative battery cables?

Why does the fuel pump kick out when out of the tank?
Still think the pump itself is going and locking up. It’s drawing too much current and causing the relay to kick out.. Run the pump while out of the tank, just put the pickup in a supply of fuel, plug the end of the pressure regulator. You should hear how healthy it is running on bench.
