How does an injector work on a PCM?
How does an injector work on a PCM?
Injectors do run off both crank and cam sensors, but mostly off the cam. And when the cam sensor does fail, The PCM goes into default mode, using the last stored run. Just a note… when you find the injector fuse pull it out, sometimes fuses just loose connection. You can’t post conmments that contain an email address.
How does a crankshaft camshaft position sensor work?
Since this type of Sensor only has two wires and no Power Supply, testing them is not that hard: One of the two wires is the Signal wire. Consequently, Sending the Signal to the Fuel Injection Computer or Ignition Module. The other wire acts as a Ground return.
Is it OK to change the crank sensor?
No, before changing the crank sensor the RPM’s were at 300 to 400. After changing the sensor, tachometer is at 0 RPM’s while cranking. The crank sensor was testing as receiving the proper voltage. The sensor itself was testing as sending the proper voltage as well.
What causes a car to have no power to injectors?
No power to the fuel injectors can be caused by a few things. If the relays, fuses, and computer all check out then I would move on to looking at the engine management and fuel system.
What causes no power to fuel injectors?
The most important signals that determine the accuracy of a signal coming out of ECU to injectors are crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor, so to test a bad injector, you have to check the voltage on the injector when the ignition key is turned on: NO VOLTAGE? , so what causes no power to fuel injectors?

What happens if there is no injector pulse?
Since you have spark, we know that the ecm is receiving the crankshaft position sensor signal, so the ecm should also then trigger the injector pulse. If there is power at the injectors and no injector pulse then the ecm is at fault. Ask Your Own Kia Question Customerreply replied 7 years ago
