Where is the water pump located on a LT engine?
The LT engine’s water pump is offset (to the driver side on trucks, passenger side on cars), and the A/C compressor is mounted low and tight to the block. Concept One’s Victory pulley system for the LT engine features an Edelbrock LS water pump, allowing for a more symmetrical and familiar appearance.
Can a 6.2 liter engine be swapped for a 5.3 liter?
The crankshafts in the 6.2-liter car engines are machined to accept an input shaft from a manual transmission, but the L83 5.3-liter truck engines are not. The fix is to space the transmission 3/8-inch back from the bellhousing. This can be accomplished with a spacer like the one from American Powertrain (PN: APGM-20001).
What are the mounts on a dirty dingo LT engine?
Dirty Dingo LT adjustable conversion mounts are for installing the 2015-up Gen-V LT engine into older GM muscle cars. They are slotted for adjustment of engine placement. These mounts will allow you to move the engine from the original bellhousing mounting plane, up to 2 1/2 inches forward, or 1/2-inch rearward.
