Why does my car make so much vibration?

Sounds like the Idle Air Control Valve and the Intake Manifold must be removed and cleaned. In gear there is a much greater load on the engine. Power is being transfered to the transmission and then to the wheels. This is going to cause the idle to drop a bit and this is where you’d feel the most vibration.

Why does a worn engine mount make noise?

Engine mount noise is a by-product of engine mount failure. A worn engine mount can often lead to ‘clunks’ and ‘bangs’ within its surroundings or within the engine bay. This noise is due to the engine moving around more than normal and making contact with other components, which in turn can cause impact sounds that become quite noticeable.
