We do accept all other types of donations, including appliances, at the discretion of staff at the donation center. Donation pick-up is limited to major appliances. Donations will be accepted at the discretion of staff at the donation center.

How do I donate to St Vincent?

St. Vincent de Paul welcomes your donations of household goods, clothing, and personal items as there are many ways to help those in need. Please drop off your donations at the store or donation site near you. Donated items are either distributed to those in need or sold through our thrift stores.

What can I put in Salvation Army drop box?

All stores accept:

  • Clothing & Accessories. Clothing, footwear and accessories in good condition.
  • Bric-A-Brac & Homewares. Household items that are in good condition.
  • Toys, Books, CD’s, DVD’s & Vinyl. Items that are in good condition.
  • Electrical Goods. Small electrical items such as radios in good, working condition.

Can you donate pillows to charity?

You can donate clean and good-quality pillows to animal shelters and charity stores. If your old pillows have seen better days, they can be repurposed at a textile recycling facility. You can also get creative and repurpose old pillows!

Do charity shops take pillows?

Damaged pillows and cushions are best given to a charity shop where they sort through old textiles and send them to ‘the rag man’. Charity shops often have small sorting areas for new goods donated and can only take large bulkier items at certain times and when less busy.

Where can I donate to St Vincent de Paul Society?

Please come in during opening hours to pass on donations to our friendly staff, alternatively you can donate via our Vinnies Donation Bins. As a guide for what to donate, if you would give your items to a friend, then they are most welcome as a donation.

Where do I put my donations at Vinnies?

You can also place donations into the donation bins provided. If they are full, please do not leave donations outside the bins as they are likely to get damaged due to the weather/environment and we will have to take them to landfill. Can you pick up donations from my home? Some of our Vinnies shops can offer pickup.
