Can you mix ATF 4 and dexron? Use ATF+4 only. Don’t use anything with Dexron/Mercon fluids. These fluids will cause TCC slippage/chatter problems plus wear out your transmission sooner than you would like for.

Keep in mind that the transmission only holds 9 quarts of ATF+4. When the dealership serviced my transmission, they only used 5 quarts. Using the dipstick I made from the 62TE literature and the temperature correction chart the level is correct. I think it was low when I started.
