Can you trust Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is responsible for providing a safe and reliable platform for our users. This includes creating clear rules for creators and backers who use Kickstarter, and monitoring our site for compliance with those rules.
How can I get my money back from Kickstarter?
All you do is go to the Backer Report, search for the backer, and click “Issue a Refund.” There you can refund all or part of their pledge, and they’ll see the refund on their credit card statement a few days later. If you give the backer a full refund, they will no longer be able to comment on the project.
Is Kickstarter a con?
Kickstarter turned into a scam platform Now most have been a (pretty) good experience, but Kickstarter seems to attract scammers nowadays. And Kickstarter does nothing to protect the people who invest their hard earned money in these projects. All they do is take their 5% and then it’s between you and the creator(s).
Is Kickstarter safe credit card?

How long do kickstarters last?
Projects on Kickstarter can last anywhere from 1 – 60 days. We’ve done some research, and found that projects lasting any longer are rarely successful. We recommend setting your campaign at 30 days or less.
Is Kickstarter guaranteed?
Kickstarter is not a store and we do not issue refunds. When you back a project, you’re supporting a creator’s right to try to make something new—and agreeing to go along for the ride. For more information, please read our Terms of Use.
Is it worth the risk to use Kickstarter?
NEVER USE KICKSTARTER. It’s not worth the risk!!! Kickstarter used to be a great place to discover innovation and new ideas worth supporting. Now, it is overrun by scammers presenting an invention, collecting vast amounts of money, then never delivering, or delivering something far inferior to what was promised.
What happens if a vendor refuses to pay a Kickstarter backer?
Kickstarter assumes no responsibility when a vendor refuses to honor the transaction to a backer. I personally was screwed out of a LOT of money when my vendor just refused to send me what I backed.
Is there a patent for a litterbox on Kickstarter?
Update: someone pointed out that this could be the Chinese supplier selling a knock-off of the original design. That can be true. However, nowhere in that listing on Kickstarter it says that patent is pending, nor is there a patent for this litterbox registered in US.
What should you know about customer service on Kickstarter?
Kickstarter’s customer service is of no use to you when a creator decides to scam you. Kickstarter customer service repeatedly tells you to deal with the “creator” of the project without giving any advice or help. They have no protections set in place for backers.
