Teachers have a very significant, lifelong impact on all of their students. This impact involves not only the teaching of particular academic skills, but as importantly, the fostering of student self-esteem. If anything, a focus on self-esteem can create a more exciting, satisfying teaching environment.

How can a good teacher change the lives of students?

By forging strong relationships, educators are able to affect virtually every aspect of their students’ lives, teaching them the important life lessons that will help them succeed beyond term papers and standardized tests. It is not always easy to change a student’s life, which is why it takes a great teacher to do so.

Making the School Better as Faculty or Staff. Encourage a collaborative atmosphere. Collaborate with other teachers on lesson plans and trips. Think of ways that you can collaborate with administration and other teachers to develop a more positive and meaningful atmosphere for your students.
