Why does MY BMW 3 series roof not go down?
They said if it was an hydraulic problem then it would not work at all. Also, please note that if it sits for a couple of months without trying to put the top down, then it will work the first time. But when you have to put the roof back up then try a day or week later it does not work again. Weird!!!!

Why is my soft top not working on my Chrysler 200?
Bottom line, the problem is the motor that powers the latch that clamps down the top to the windshield frame. Motor gets week and can power it all the way so that the switch sees it latched. I checked the second soft top 200 and the problem was the same.
