Fiona started the campaign by simply asking women to post photos of themselves on Facebook without wearing makeup for cancer awareness. Crucially, she asked them to use the hashtag #nomakeupselfie. Momentum began building and people started asking Cancer Research whether the campaign was theirs.

Pink Out is one of the largest and best-known fundraisers held in Hutto ISD each year. The fundraiser has evolved into a community effort to raise funds for cancer research and to recognize those that have fought cancer, including students, teachers and community members.
